Important Details

It is very important to watch the 5 minute Program Details video or to download and read the transcript to learn more about how the program works.

Collaborative Process

The Carpool Lane program provides each party with their own personal collaborative attorney for:

  1. A one-hour private online consultation so you can explain and get guidance regarding the issues to be addressed.
  2. A two-hour private online collaborative negotiation session, at which both parties and their attorneys discuss the issues and attempt to settle the case.

    • If the parties reach an agreement, the collaborative attorneys will assist with writing it up in an enforceable format, and filing all necessary orders or agreements with the court.

If the collaborative negotiation process is unsuccessful, the parties can return to representing themselves and have the court address their case whenever it is called for a hearing or trial.

We use dtour.life, an easy-to-use digital divorce management platform, to streamline the information-sharing process. Using dtour.life will make it easier for us to work as a team to efficiently address all the aspects of your unique family situation.

Consultation and Collaboration

Each party will be assigned a Collaboratively-trained lawyer, who will conduct a one-hour private consultation online (by Zoom or other web-conferencing tool). After that, both parties and their collaborative attorneys will meet for a two-hour settlement conference.
